Integrated Business Technologies II |
Target
IBT II can be used as a natural progression from the CLAIT (Computer Literacy
and Information Technology) qualification, as it builds on your previously
developed skills.
However,
as there are no specific entry requirements, it is suitable for anyone
wishing to gain a Stage II qualification which tests the ability to draw
together a variety of IT skills to analyse, structure and present information.
Aim
This course is designed to assess your ability to achieve specified objectives
within database, spreadsheet, word processing and graphic applications,
using the software to produce an integrated document.
Employment
Prospects
It is generally recognised that Stage II indicates a sound understanding
and competence in the subject, and is a recommendation for employment.

Content
- Set up
and use a database structure
- Create
and use a spreadsheet to aid problem solving
- Use word
processing facilities to produce a multi-page document
- Produce
graphical representations of numerical data
- Integrate
files and present a full document report
Method of Assessment
Assessment is by means of 5 practical assignments, set by OCR, marked
by M@nny M@sih Centre and moderated by OCR.
You can decide
when the assessment takes place, there is no fixed timetable.
